I typically work Monday through Friday at my I.T job while working Tuesday and Thursday nights with football games on Fridays and Saturdays with the kids in marching band.. Usually we tend to have competitions on Saturdays and maybe one on a Sunday a season.
This week was typical for my I.T job. nothing too extraordinary. Just a few trips of installing and repairing mostly computers but had to manage a network closer towards the end of the week.
Band is usually my looking forward point to my weeks. I enjoy the opportunity to teach very much. We this Saturday we had a football game and a competition. Both performances went really well. They both had minor things that require our attention.
For those who don’t know, the positions on the field that marchers go to is called sets. Sets are meant to make shapes, lines, etc. to show a progression of the show along with music. There is also a certain way to move across the field, aka marching, with a specific technique to follow to make progresion look neat, what we call basics. So if I address anything by sets or say anything about basics, this is what I am referencing.
Anyway, The football team won the game and we placed first at the competition…. being the only group competing of course. But all in all, was a very nice and fun time with my “kids.”
